The development of Muskrat Falls will generate significant employment opportunities. The project will provide 9,100 person-years of direct employment in the province, 5,800 of which will take place in Labrador. Direct employment during construction will peak in 2015 with approximately 3,300 jobs.
To attract highly skilled and qualified individuals to the project, Nalcor Energy is committed to competitive terms and conditions of employment for workers. Workers will receive an attractive compensation package that includes competitive wages equal to or better than those offered in western Canada, quality accommodations and recreation facilities, travel and accessible training.
More information about workplace policies and standards at all of the project’s work sites is available in the LCP Site Handbook.
